Graduation

Casey and I graduated from BYU-Idaho July 23, 2010. We are both amazed that this day has finally arrived. There is no way we could have made it without the support of our families. College is not easy and we found out that it is even harder to finish while having children. It has been so worth it though and we are very glad to be done so we can start spending more time with Isaiah outside playing, instead of trying to keep him from turning the computer off or typing on the keyboard while we are working on homework. :) Thanks again Grandma Pieper, Mom, Dad, Coyote, Mary, Hannah, Beck and everyone who has all been such a great help in watching Isaiah when our schedules conflicted.

Casey's parents were able to make it up to see us graduate, so it was really nice to have both of our parents there to support us. We went to a banquet before graduation and it was sooooo good. (We thought this was the best part of the whole night.) This time for graduation my dad got to sit by my mom instead of putting on his gown to join the rest of the faculty. Although I am sure he is sick of attending graduations by now, it was nice having him there. :) Casey and I were both really happy that we were able to graduate at the same time and it made the whole thing much easier to bear since we got to sit by each other through the whole thing and talk through the boring parts. We were 1 of 56 other couples that graduated together. So far this has been the largest Spring graduation at BYU-I with over 1400 graduates.

On Saturday following graduation (which was Friday) we were able to go to Idaho Falls to watch the Blue Angels Air Show with Casey's parents before they left to go home. It was so neat and I was really glad we got to watch it. Isaiah did really good except when they would fly right over our head. It was really loud then, and he would start to cry. :) So then we would try and plug his ears when we would see they were about to fly over, but he didn't like that either. He had fun watching the planes, but he had just as much fun playing in Grandma Davis's popcorn.

Isaiah found out that the plastic lamp also works great as a hat!
Ok, maybe hes not a bad boy....

Jacob Samuel Jones

Rebecca gave birth to Jacob Jones at 12:05am on July 21st. He weighed 6 lbs 5 oz and is a healthy baby boy. We think he looks a lot like his Dad. Isaiah is excited to have a new little cousin.

Lots to catch up on!

There have been so many things going on these past few weeks. One of the weekends in June we went on a ward campout. I don't remember exaclty which weekend it was now. We camped up by Green Canyon Hotsprings. It was a lot of fun. It was Isaiah's first time camping out overnight and he did so well. We brought his little playpen to sleep in inside the tent. Once he went to bed he didn't wake up, even though it did get kinda cold. What a good little camper! He also really enjoyed the Great Dane, named Diesel who is owned by one of the couples in our ward. Isaiah loved letting him lick his fingers. He was such a good dog. He was so tall that Isaiah could almost walk underneath his belly. We also enjoyed spending time with our friends in the ward, playing volleyball, and enjoyed some delicious tinfoil dinners and cobler.

We also got to celebrate Father's Day with my lovely hubby and Father. Isaiah started walking on his own for the first time while we were out at my parents house! He did so well. Even though he can walk on his own now, he would rather crawl or hang on to something or someone. He is still slowly building up his courage. We will try to post a video of this later.

We also celebrated the 4th of July by going to a parade with my sisters and watching a few fireworks. We were all pretty tired because the night before we were bringing in the hay from my dad's field from 11:00 pm to 1:00 am the next morning. We didn't get to bed until 2:30. We barely made it to the parade! It was a lot of fun though.

The dessert I made for Casey and my dad for Father's Day
They are called Chocolate Mousse Napoleons with Raspberries & Cream
They were so delicious and pretty easy to make too!

Isaiah learning to walk on Father's Day!
He can totally walk by himself, he just doesn't want to unless it is back and forth between people like this. I guess I am okay with this for now. :)

Pete Receiving his Mission Call
My Brother Peter got his mission call. He is going to Canada, Edmonton mission. He leaves on October 13th

Waiting for the 4th of July parade to start.

One time while Isaiah was sitting on Casey like this Case said to me, "Get him off now he is cutting off the ciculation to my brain." I had to laugh at this, too funny! Zaya sure is getting big-and heavy too!

Random Darth Vadar and other Star Wars characters in the parade for no apparent reason. ???

Family Fun at the Parade

Giant shopping cart on top of a go kart! It was pretty cool.

Patriotic Cowgirl and her patriotic horse.

My sister Hannah riding in the parade with the rest of the Madison High student body.

The funniest part of the parade! "Do you think anyone wants a  round house kick to the face with these bad boys?"
